The Freedom in Music Project is a program of RiseN Music Ministry.
This project was established to bring hope through the power of music. The purpose
of the program is to bring permanent music and basic recording rooms into
New Mexico’s Long-Term Stay Youth Detention Centers. The first music room is at
the Bernalillo County Youth Detention/Services Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The program is running and guitar lessons have started! This program is to turn “detained” youth onto the power of music and off of unproductive behavior with the assistance of mentors. It is well documented that music can make
a huge difference in a person’s life.
Phil and Linda Oliveira are ‘long distance’ members of the Mill Church. While attending The Mill Church they were very active in many areas of the church including advertising and marketing, music ministries, donations of signage, musical equipment and so much more. We are so blessed to see them answering the call that God has on their lives and we consider it an honor to be able to help support the Freedom in Music Project!
